[Creative & Cultural Healing: Interview with Jae Saechao, Community Artist-Educator]

Jae Saechao, a queer & nonbinary community artist-educator and Indigenous Khmu & Iu Mien Ancestor in Training shares about the relationship between creative practice & healing. They reflect on their own creative process, identities, and journey to understanding and witnessing themselves through & within their art. Through their reflections Jae also draws connections to the role of art in culture keeping, and community & cultural healing. Since filming, the artist no longer refers to themselves as Janit and has since changed their name to Jae. As "Janit" is their deadname, any future work featuring them will honor their chosen name Jae.
